Attempted murder charge after crematorium stabbing

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed at a crematorium.

Officers from Lancashire Police found a woman in her 30s with multiple stab wounds at Carleton Crematorium, Poulton-le-Fylde, at about 18:45 BST on Tuesday.

She was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries but was later sent home, a force spokesperson said.

Shaun Holt, 34, of Edmonton Place, Blackpool, was remanded in custody by Lancaster Magistrates' Court on Thursday to appear at Preston Crown Court on 7 May.
