Man seriously hurt after crash at pub junction

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after a crash between a van and a car at a junction on the A43.

Northamptonshire Police said it was called to the area near the Green Man pub, between Brackley and Silverstone, at about 11:20 BST on Wednesday.

The force said the collision occurred between the drivers of a white Citroen Berlingo van and a blue BMW Z4 car.

The 60-year-old driver of the van was taken to University Hospital Coventry and officers are appealing for witnesses to contact them with information.
