Teen charged with murder after shooting of boy, 14
Family HandoutA teenage boy has been charged with murdering 14-year-old Eghosa Ogbebor who was shot dead in south-east London.
Police and paramedics were called to Lord Warwick Street, Woolwich, on 2 April where Eghosa was found with serious injuries. He died at the scene.
The Metropolitan Police said a 16-year-old from Romford, who was originally arrested on 4 April then re-arrested on Thursday, has now been charged with murder.
He is due to appear in custody at Thames Magistrates' Court on Saturday.
PAThe shooting took place on a residential street, close to Woolwich Dockyard station, at about 15:40 BST.
Several individuals have been arrested in relation to the case.
This includes a 19-year-old arrested on 4 April on suspicion of murder. A 46-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They were released on bail, police said.
Three other people were arrested on 3 April - two boys aged 14 and 16 and an 18-year-old man - in connection with the shooting, and all were released on bail.
On 10 April, another 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody, the Met said.
Eghosa's family continue to be supported by specialist officers, the force added.
