Investigations to find the cause of a fire in a workshop have been unable to start because the building is unsafe.

The fire swept through the industrial unit on Green Lane in Fordingbridge, Hampshire, on Sunday night and caused its roof to collapse.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service said investigators had been unable to enter the building because it had been deemed structurally unsound.

Roads were closed and residents were advised to keep windows and doors closed due to thick smoke while the blaze was tackled until Monday morning.
