Lincolnshire Police says it was called to the Travelodge in Skegness, Lincolnshire, at about 18:45 BST on Thursday

Two people have been injured after the car they were in crashed into a hotel, police have said.

Lincolnshire Police said it was called to the Travelodge on South Parade in Skegness at about 18:45 BST on Thursday.

Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue also attended and said the car had gone into the fire escape wall.

A Travelodge spokesperson said: "All customers and colleagues were safely evacuated while fire officers checked the building. The hotel is now open and repair works are being arranged."

Police said recovery of the vehicle began in the early hours of Friday morning.
