Police order after eggs thrown at people and homes
GoogleA dispersal order has been put in place in a Lincolnshire town following reports of eggs and stones being thrown at people and buildings.
Lincolnshire Police said some incidents of anti-social behaviour in Sutton Bridge had "crossed the threshold into criminality".
The order running from Saturday morning until 08:00 BST on Monday allows officers to force people to leave specific areas of the town or face arrest.
A force spokesperson urged parents to talk with their children if they suspect them to be involved.
Home had been damaged, the force said.
The order covers the area of Bridge Road, Sutton Bridge and all roads directly adjoining, including the grounds of Sutton Bridge Memorial Park.
Insp Paul Smith said he understood "the significant impact this behaviour is having on residents and businesses".
He added: "We want to reassure the public that we are taking these reports extremely seriously. Anti-social behaviour and criminality that impacts our communities will not be tolerated.
"Additional resources have been deployed to the area, a dispersal order is in place, and officers will use all appropriate powers to prevent further incidents."
