Charity to host group dog walks for mental health
BBCDogs owners have been invited to talk part in a charity dog walk to raise money to support mental health.
Guernsey Mind said caring for a pet could help boost mental health through encouraging physical exercise and providing companionship.
The charity said it wanted to celebrate this by inviting local dogs and owners to the "Walkies with Guernsey Mind" event on Sunday.
In a statement, the charity said: "Our pets are great listeners who never judge, and they can even help us meet new people."
It said the route would be around L'Ancresse, which was approximately 3km (1.86 miles).
Guernsey Mind said the route would be approximately 3km (1.86 miles) around L'Ancresse.
There would be four time slots at 08:30 GMT, 09.00, 09.30 and 10.00, with each limited to 40 dogs.
The charity said the event was originally planned for 25 October but was postponed due to the forecast of force 6 to 7 north-westerly winds.
This came after Storm Austen resulted in school closures and flight cancellations.
The charity said entry for taking part would be £5 and every dog would receive a goodie bag, and dogs that did not like crowds would be able to join the walk remotely.
