Bottles thrown at fan zone during England match
BBCPolice in Leicester are discussing future World Cup matches at a fan zone in the city centre after bottles were thrown during England's 0-0 draw with Ghana.
Leicestershire Police confirmed it was informed of a report of bottles being thrown at the zone in Jubilee Square just before 22:30 BST on Tuesday.
No serious injuries were reported and inquiries are continuing, a force spokesperson said, adding that no arrests have been made.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers from the Central Leicester NPA (Neighbourhood Policing Area) are also engaging with the local authority and partners regarding future matches."
The zone can accommodate up to 2,500 people and is free to enter, but spaces are on a first-come, first-served basis.
In addition to World Cup screenings, an arts festival and family entertainment have previously been confirmed for the area, known as Summer on the Square.
