Vehicle fire closes part of A14 in Suffolk

Traffic has been held on part of the A14 in Suffolk due to a vehicle fire.

National Highways said it happened on the westbound carriageway near Bury St Edmunds, between junction 43 for the A134 and the Sugar Beet roundabout and junction 42 at the Westley Interchange.

The fire was first reported at about 07:00 BST, according to travel system Inrix, with 30-minute delays reported.

Police and fire services are at the sceneand a burnt-out traffic management van was coned off at the side of the road.
