A man in his 30s has died in a crash on the A256 near Deal, leading to a police appeal for witnesses.

Kent Police said a red Vauxhall Insignia car was travelling north towards Sandwich at Tilmanstone when it was involved in a crash by a roundabout at the junction of Barville Road and Boys Hill Road at 21:51 BST on Monday.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, police said, and his next of kin have been informed.

"Officers are also appealing for anyone with dashcam footage taken in the area around the time of the collision," the force said, adding that enquiries were being carried out by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
