Stunned bride-to-be meets Stanley Tucci on hen do

A bride-to-be says she was left "completely lost for words" after bumping in to The Devil Wears Prada star Stanley Tucci on her hen do.

Tanya Dhari, from Leeds, was celebrating with her sister in a restaurant in York when she spotted the Hollywood actor as he walked past them.

After asking the waiter to introduce her, the 30-year-old said they had a short conversation before Tucci asked if she wanted a photo.

She said: "It was just crazy. I've never met anyone famous before and I think I was just completely lost for words."

Despite saying she and her sister were "very big fans" of the Oscar-nominated actor, Tanya said at first they initially thought it was a lookalike.

"We started googling him and when he came back into the room, we were like, 'oh that's definitely him'," she said.

But, after confirming their suspicions and approaching the waiter, Tucci, who has also starred in The Hunger Games, Spotlight and Conclave, came over to their table.

"He did kindly approach us," Tanya said. "We had a bit of a conversation.

"He was really nice, he congratulated me on getting married and said I looked lovely and was like 'would you like to take a picture?' - so we took a picture together."

However, she said she had not wanted to ask too many questions because she was "so starstruck".

She said he was "so gentle, so polite, so kind - he was very genuine."

It is not the first time the actor has been seen in Yorkshire this week.

He was spotted in Ilkley on Wednesday and filming for an upcoming project near York Minster on Thursday.
