Son accused of father's murder appears in court
GoogleA man charged with the murder of his father has made his first court appearance.
Richard Woolley Jr, 58, of Garratts Green Lane in Birmingham, was charged on Monday after a man was found dead at a property in Eagle Close in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, on Saturday.
The victim was later identified by Avon and Somerset Police as 80-year-old Richard Woolley Sr.
The defendant did not enter a plea during the brief hearing at North Somerset Magistrates' Court on Tuesday morning. His next court appearance will be on Thursday at Bristol Crown Court.
