Ella "was never happier than when she was performing", her family said in a tribute

A teenager who died after falling from an e-bike was "the most amazing, strong-willed, feisty girl", her family said.

The family of Ella Walden, 13, added: "We were the lucky ones to have her as ours, but she has been taken from us far too soon."

Ella died in hospital shortly after the incident in Elizabeth Street, Corby, between 14:00 and 15:00 BST on Tuesday, said Northamptonshire Police.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and road traffic offences and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Ella's family remembered her "most precious smile" and the way she "could light up even the emptiest room"

In a tribute her family said: "Our lives will never be complete again after losing our beautiful Ella.

"She was the most amazing, strong-willed, feisty girl, with the most precious smile.

"Ella had an infectious personality and could light up even the emptiest room... you could hear her before you saw her, so life is so quiet without her."

They also talked about how much the teenager loved drama and "being in the limelight".

She was "incredibly loyal and always stood up for what she believed in", with "a kind heart and was always there for anyone who was struggling".

"To the world she was Ella, but to us she was the world," they added.

"Life will forever have an empty space without her, but her memory will live on with us all forever."
