Kidderminster Pride was cancelled for 2026 due to running costs rising, organisers said

Kidderminster Pride 2026 has been cancelled due to "significant" running costs, which the organisers said were "almost impossible" to meet.

In a statement posted by them on Facebook, they said they have made the decision with a "very heavy heart".

The group's spokesperson said the celebration was "not disappearing completely", adding: "We are currently planning something on a smaller scale, so please keep your eyes peeled for updates.

"We are truly sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking forward to this year's event, but thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with us and supporting Kidderminster Pride over the years."

Last year's event took place in August although, ahead of this announcement, a date for 2026 had not been confirmed.

"We have had the most amazing few years celebrating Pride in Kidderminster," the spokesperson added.

"We are so grateful to everyone who has supported us, volunteered, donated, attended, and helped create such a special atmosphere for our community."
