A man has been charged with arson after a fire ignited at a police station.

Dorset Police said a small fire had been ignited outside the boiler room at Sherborne Police Station at about 03:30 BST on 26 April.

The force said it did not spread to the station building and no injuries had been sustained.

The 36-year-old suspect is due to appear at Weymouth Magistrates' Court on 30 October.
