Essex Police said it is treating the death of the man in his 20s as murder

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who was found seriously injured in a car park.

Essex Police said the alleged victim, aged in his 20s, was seen in the Waltham Abbey or Waltham Cross area before being discovered at a car park on Valence Drive in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, on 22 June.

He died in hospital four days later, detectives said.

On Tuesday, a 17-year-old from London was arrested on suspicion of murder and then released on bail. A 24-year-old from London had already been arrested on suspicion of the same offence and is on bail.

Detectives had already appealed for information about a silver MG ZS linked to the incident, but the vehicle has since been recovered.

Det Ch Insp Greg Wood said: "Our work has progressed quickly since the man was found with significant injuries in Hertfordshire.

"Two arrests have been made and the MG vehicle, which is key element of the investigation, has been found thanks to members of the public coming forward."
