Motorcyclist dies after crash with SUV

A man has died after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a 4x4 car between Malton and York.

The motorcyclist, a man in his late 50s, was overtaking when the crash happened on Mook Street near Westow at about 08:15 BST on Sunday, according to North Yorkshire Police.

The collision involved a Yamaha MT-10 motorbike and an Isuzu Trooper SUV, the force added.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or the moments leading up to it - or who has dashcam or CCTV footage - is urged to contact police.
