Prisoner apprehended four days after van escape
Dorset PoliceA prisoner who reportedly escaped from a transport van has been apprehended by police.
Dorset Police said it located Jason Evans at an address in Bournemouth on Monday afternoon, after escaping custody four days earlier.
It said it had arrested Evans on suspicion of remaining at large after recall to prison.
The force said the 32-year-old had initially escaped from a privately operated prisoner transport vehicle in Poole Road, Poole, at about 17:30 BST on 2 April.
Evans had previously appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court charged with assault and other offences and had been remanded in custody.
