Residents are being urged to keep their windows and doors shut due to smoke coming from a large fire at a recycling plant in Worcestershire.

About 30 firefighters are tackling the blaze at Total Metal Recovery Ltd in Stoke Prior, near Bromsgrove.

A large plume of black smoke was reported from witnesses coming from the scene.

Crews were first alerted to the fire at 05:00 BST on Tuesday and station commander Craig Newman said the B4091 that runs past the site had been closed.

No injuries were reported, he added, and the Environment Agency was called to the scene due to the nature of the fire.
