Death of man whose body was found in burning car not suspicious

The death of a man whose body was found inside a burning car in Portadown is not being treated as suspicious.

Police were called to the scene at Harford Street in the town centre at about 22:00 BST on Saturday.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination carried out to determine the cause of the man's death was completed on Monday morning, police said.

"At this time, we are not treating the death as suspicious, however officers continue to appeal to anyone who was in the area and witnessed what happened to make contact with us," the police added.
