A man has been jailed for trying to help three men illegally entering Guernsey.
Drimiand Vuka, 25, tried to help three Albanian men come into Guernsey, with the aim of going on to enter the UK.
The three men were stopped at Guernsey harbour on 28 July 2023. They were refused entry, and returned to France.
Vuka was jailed for three years and nine months for trying to facilitate the entry of three illegal migrants into the Bailiwick.
'Significant criminality'
Bailiwick Law Enforcement said: “It is clear from the evidence that this was a co-ordinated unlawful attempt to move foreign nationals into the UK through the Bailiwick.
"This case demonstrates that Guernsey is not immune to the risks posed by organised crime and illegal migration."
It said the vigilance of Guernsey Border Agency staff meant "significant criminality has been disrupted and an individual brought to justice".
Vuka was also recommended for deportation.
