Man, 78, injured in 'possible firearm' incident

Police were called out to Crichton Street in Springburn

Police have been called out after reports of a man being injured by a "possible firearm" in Glasgow.

Specialist firearms officers were sent to the incident at 12:40 outside a property on Crichton Street in Springburn.

A 78-year-old man has been taken to hospital for treatment to a non life-threatening injury.

Crichton Street has been closed at Gourlay Street and the public has been advised to avoid the area while inquiries are carried out.
