A man has admitted causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving after a crash involving a bus and a pedestrian.

The crash - which killed 73-year-old Richard Parker - happened on Somerford Road in Christchurch, Dorset, shortly before 08:45 BST on 3 December 2025.

Nicholas Ouzman, 37, pleaded guilty at Southampton Magistrates' Court earlier.

Ouzman, of Leavesden in Hertfordshire, is due to appear at the same court on 1 December to be sentenced.

He has been released on bail and is not allowed to drive until his next hearing.

A family tribute, released by police after the crash, said: "Richard was a kind and thoughtful person.

"He was a loving brother and uncle and will be greatly missed by us all."
