Four men have been arrested after a man suffered injuries consistent with gunshot wounds in Swanley.

Kent Police was called to Acacia Walk at about 20:50 BST on Thursday following reports of a serious assault.

Officers attended with paramedics and found a man in his 20s injured.

He was taken to a hospital in London where he remains in a serious but stable condition, police said.

Kent Police said later that same evening two men were arrested.

They remain in custody, pending further enquiries, the force continued.

Another two men were arrested on Friday in connection to the incident, according to officers.

Ch Insp Paul Diddams said the parties involved are believed to know one another.

"We are treating this as an isolated incident," he added.

Diddams said officers remained on the scene and a cordon was in place while the investigation takes place.

"Patrols will remain in the area for community reassurance," he continued.

Police have appealed for anyone with relevant information or footage to contact them.
