Appeal for car driver witness to fatal crash

Police investigating a fatal road traffic collision in Nottinghamshire are appealing for a witness to come forward.

A pedestrian, a woman in her 40s, died following a collision with a motorcycle in Priestsic Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, on 14 July.

As part of the investigation, officers would like to trace the driver of a dark coloured vehicle seen in a CCTV image, Nottinghamshire Police said.

It is believed the driver witnessed all or part of the incident and may have information that could assist police with their enquiries.

Nottinghamshire Police collision investigator Georgina Luke said: "If you are this person, or if you know who this individual may be, we kindly ask that you come forward.

"Even if you believe the information you have is minor or insignificant, it could be important in helping us establish a full understanding of the circumstances."
