A jury has been sworn in for the trial of two teenagers accused of murdering a 15-year-old boy.

Luis Guembes died in Stoke Park, Guildford, on 19 January after he was stabbed.

The defendants, who were 15 and 16 at the time of the incident, cannot be named because of their age.

They are accused of murder, conspiracy to rob and possession of a bladed article.

Both teenagers have been remanded in youth detention.

An inquest in January heard Guembes was stabbed in the back of the abdomen.

Police previously said members of the public and paramedics attended to Guembes, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His school described him after his death as a talented footballer who "exuded a joy and love of life that was impossible to miss".

Guembes' family said he would be "forever remembered, never forgotten".

The trial at Guildford Crown Court is expected to last up to four weeks.
