Seven murder arrests after man stabbed to death
GoogleA man in his 20s has died after a stabbing in west London and seven men have been arrested on suspicion of murder, police have said.
Officers found two injured men after they were called to North Road, Southall, at 00:41 following reports of a stabbing. Despite the efforts of paramedics, one of the men was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other injured man, aged in his 30s, was among those arrested and was taken to hospital where his condition is not believed to be life threatening.
The Metropolitan Police said the other six men, aged from their early 20s to late 30s, were arrested at the scene. They are currently in police custody.
Det Ch Insp Matthew Denby, who is leading the murder investigation, said: "My thoughts remain with the loved ones of the man who has died.
"We believe that the two men suffered wounds during an altercation outside a property on North Road.
"I would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or who has CCTV footage of what occurred."
He said a large cordon was in place on North Road and surrounding streets would remain in place while detectives conduct inquiries.
