Four teenagers have been seriously injured in a crash in North Yorkshire.

It happened on Coldhill Lane, in Sherburn-in-Elmet, at about 02:50 BST on Saturday and involved a red Seat Ibiza. No other vehicles were involved, said police.

The injured, all occupants of the car, included three 17-year-olds and an 18-year-old.

North Yorkshire Police said officers were keen to trace the driver of a white pick-up truck who may have seen the Seat prior to the crash.
