Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in crash

A motorcyclist has been flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a crash in Wiltshire.

Emergency services were called to the incident involving the motorbike and a Land Rover on the A346 at Collingbourne Ducis shortly after 10:00 BST on Sunday.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was taken to Southampton Hospital by air ambulance.

Wiltshire Police said it wanted to hear from anyone who was travelling in the area at the time - particularly the driver of a blue Volkswagen ID3 and anyone travelling from the unnamed road leadingfrom Wexcombe on to the A346 past The Shears Inn at the time of the incident.
