Celebrity chef and TV baker to attend market event
Jack Spicer AdamsA celebrity chef and TV baker are among those attending a special event celebrating the recent reopening of a city's market.
Glynn Purnell and Molly Robbins, known as Molly Makes Cakes, will be holding demonstrations at Bilston's outdoor market in Wolverhampton on Saturday.
There will also be an array of activities throughout the day, including K-Pop performances, a circus show, craft workshops and a food festival.
It comes after the market opened to traders for the first time following an £8m refurbishment on 2 July.
Ahead of Saturday's event, City of Wolverhampton Council leader, Stephen Simkins, said the market was "the beating heart of Bilston".
"The new-look market has been bustling and trade booming in the first week, and we saw more than 10,000 people attend Bilston carnival last weekend," he added.

The market has more than 170 stalls and includes a new canopy to protect stallholders, an events space, upgraded toilets and new signage.
The site previously closed in September 2024 and traders moved into a temporary location on High Street to allow the 200-year-old market to be upgraded.
