Family 'utterly devastated' by fatal stabbing

The family of a man who died after being stabbed have said they are "utterly devastated".

Darren King, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency services were called to Birchfield Road, in Wellingborough, at about 15:05 BST on Sunday.

Relatives of King, who lived in the town, released a tribute through Northamptonshire Police and said: "There are not enough words to describe how heartbroken we are by what has happened."

They added they "would like to thank those people who have offered us support in the last couple of days".

His family asked for their privacy to be respected as they grieved.

Dante King, 20, of Birchfield Road, Wellingborough, has been charged with murder and was due to appear at Northampton Magistrates' Court earlier.

Police said a second man, aged 20, had been released from custody with no further action being taken against him.
