The government said the coaches and minibuses would mostly be use by schools

The Government of Jersey is looking for a firm to provide coaches and minibuses to transport school groups.

It is tendering for a transport operator to take pupils around the island on school trips and other activities.

At times the transport would serve politicians, although education services would be the most common users, the government said.

The contract would not guarantee any work or spending, it added, but departments would have a list of approved coach and minibus providers who had tariffs already agreed and could offer group transport when needed.
