Three-week programme of roadworks to start
GoogleA three-week programme of roadworks is due to start in Telford on Sunday, though most of the road closures will be in place overnight.
The annual maintenance operation will include minor road and barrier repairs, gully emptying, road sweeping, streetlight testing and replacement and litter picking, Telford and Wrekin Council said.
There will also be grass cutting, hedge cutting and tree felling, along with a series of road surveys being carried out.
Most closures will be in place between 19:00 and 07:00 to reduce disruption, but there are some daytime closures planned, with the A442, A464, A5, A5223, A4169, B4373 and B5072 all affected.
A full list of the road closures and the associated diversions can be found on the council's website.
The authority said the timetable might have to change if the weather causes problems.
Deputy leader Richard Overton, said: "We would not be implementing road works and full road closures unless it was absolutely necessary."
