BBCA woman who died at a property in Bracknell has been formally identified by police as a murder investigation continues.
Thames Valley Police said its officers were called to an address in Birkdale shortly before 07:00 BST on Wednesday following reports that a woman had sustained a head injury.
The force said despite the efforts of South Central Ambulance Service, a 40-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman has now been formally identified as Natalie Clements from Bracknell.
A 48-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
The force said Natalie's next of kin are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.
Senior investigating officer Det Ch Insp Stuart Brangwin said: "Our thoughts remain with Natalie's family at this extremely difficult time.
"We are continuing our enquiries today, and you may see an increased police presence in the Birkdale and Liscombe areas as we progress our investigation."
Anyone who may have information that could assist the investigation has been asked to get in touch with the force.
Bragwin added: "I would also request that people do not to speculate about details of this case or circulate inaccurate information on social media during this live investigation."
