Major delays on M62 after three-vehicle crash

Motorists travelling on the M62 faced severe delays on Friday evening after a serious three-vehicle crash.

Lane closures were in place in both directions between junction 22 near Saddleworth and 23 at Huddersfield, after a crash involving a motorcycle, a car and a trailer.

National Highways confirmed the lanes had reopened at about 19:15 BST, but warned traffic heading eastbound faced delays of 100 minutes.

West Yorkshire Police has been approached for further information on the collision.
