F1 champion Lando Norris meets his waxwork figure
Madam Tussauds LondonFormula 1 world champion Lando Norris has come face-to-face with his waxwork likeness at Madame Tussauds.
The 26-year-old had spent time earlier this year working with the world-famous Baker Street attraction in London on the creation of his doppelganger.
The figure, dressed in a signature papaya-coloured McLaren race suit donated by Norris, will be unveiled to the public on 30 June, ahead of next month's British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
Norris, who drives for the Woking-based McLaren team, called the meeting "pretty cool", before asking: "Is it weird if I compliment myself?"
Norris, who was born and grew up in Somerset, said: "Seeing the figure finished and being able to stand next to it is surreal.
"The artists have really nailed the details too, it's so lifelike.
"I'm very happy with it and can't wait for everyone to come and see it this summer."
It comes after Norris claimed his first F1 drivers' championship.

It will appear in Madame Tussauds London's Culture Capital zone, taking pole position alongside the likes of Harry Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo, Mo Salah, Mary Earps and Anthony Joshua.
Norris made his F1 debut in 2019. A year later, he became the youngest Briton to stand on an F1 podium. And this season, he became the 11th British world champion.
