New government announces assistant ministers
BBCAssistant Ministers have been appointed to Jersey's new Ministerial team - with the Deputy Chief Minister and Assistant Chief Minister announced.
Previously former England netball captain Serena Kersten and former Minister for Sustainable Development Kirsten Morel were among the politicians to be given roles in Jersey's new government.
While it was required to sign off on each ministerial role at the end of June, the States Assembly does not need to approve the appointment of assistant ministers.
Chief Minister, Senator Lyndon Farnham, announced on Wednesday that Senator Tom Binet would continue to serve as Deputy Chief Minister.
It said Deputy Malcolm Ferey and Deputy Rose Binet would continue in their roles as Assistant Chief Ministers.
Deputy Ferey would also return to the position of Vice-Chair of the States Employment Board.
Senator Helen Miles was appointed as an Assistant Chief Minister.
The government added that Senator Alan Maclean would become an Assistant Minister within the External Relations and Financial Services portfolio.
Former England netball captain Serena Kersten was appointed as an Assistant Minister for Economic Development, with responsibility for sport.
