Firefighters have tackled a blaze which broke out in a commercial property under a block of flats in Edinburgh.

Six fire engines and a height vehicle were called to Dalry Road at about 17:00 and one person was treated at the scene.

Nearby properties were evacuated as a precaution and people were asked to avoid the area. The road has since reopened.

Police cordoned off the scene and said inquiries into the fire were ongoing but it was not being treated as wilful.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said crews had left the scene by 22:00.
