Motorcyclist seriously hurt in crash near hospital

A 45-year-old motorcyclist has been left seriously injured after a crash near Bradford Royal Infirmary.

Emergency services were called at about 22:15 BST on Thursday to reports of a collision between a silver Seat Leon car and a red Yamaha R6 motorbike on Smith Lane outside the hospital's Gate 6 entrance.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital for emergency treatment, West Yorkshire Police said, with his condition described as stable.

The force asked those who witnessed the crash or have relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
