A couple building an exhibition at BBC Gardener's World Live have had a van containing their display stolen.

Matty Paul and Amber Jacklin's van was in a car park near the site when it disappeared overnight on Monday, leaving them in "disbelief and feeling pretty bad."

The self-employed gardener and garden designer, who are from Norfolk, said the white Ford Transit Custom van contained all their plants and displays for the coming days.

The event, which is starting at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre on Thursday, will feature show gardens, stages and food stalls.

The couple are now appealing for help from anyone who may have information about the van's whereabouts.

Paul said: "If anyone does have any conscience, I'd love an anonymous tip, to find out where they are. I'd love to get my stuff back.

"I'm not too fussed about the van, it's insured," he said, adding: "My fiance's border now has nothing in it, sculptures wise. So if anyone wants to do a nice thing, get in touch with us. We're accepting all the help we're being offered at the minute."

The couple had already received some help from others at the exhibition, which they described as "incredible" and "amazing".
