Fire at old school building being treated as arson

The police are treating a fire at an empty building, which was once Coleraine High School, as arson.

Officers and firefighters attended the property on Lodge Road at about 17:15 BST on Sunday.

The road was closed for a short time to allow fire crews to put out the fire at the former all-girls' grammar school building.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said there were no reports of any injuries.

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) said it took them just under fire hours, using five appliances, to deal with the fire.
