Cyclist seriously injured after crash with van
GoogleA cyclist in his 60s is being treated for leg injuries after being involved in a crash with a white van on Tuesday morning, police have said.
Emergency services attended the incident which took place at about 09:20 BST at the crossroads in St Peter's where La Neuve Route and Les Routeurs meet La Grande Route des Augerez.
Police said a white Renault van, driven by a 64-year-old man, crashed with the cyclist, 69, who was riding a copper-coloured road bike. No other vehicles were involved.
The force said the cyclist was taken to hospital by paramedics and was receiving treatment for leg injuries which were serious but not deemed life-threatening.
Police asked anyone who may have witnessed the crash or had CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward to assist with inquiries.
