Man dies in single-vehicle crash near village

A man in his 20s has died in hospital after a single-vehicle crash in West Sussex.

The driver of the vehicle suffered serious injuries in the crash in Storrington Road, near Thakeham, at about 16:00 BST on Sunday. He has since died of his injuries, Sussex Police said.

The family of the man, from Thakeham, are being supported by specialist officers, the force added.

The road was closed for several hours while investigations were carried out but has since reopened.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or who has dashcam footage is urged to contact the force.
