Man arrested after woman's body found

A man has been arrested following the discovery of a woman's body at a property in Dover.

Kent Police said it was called to Folkestone Road in the town at 16:30 GMT on Monday following a report of concern for a person.

The force attended the scene, along with paramedics, but the woman, who was in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.

On Monday evening, a 24 year old man from Folkestone was arrested in connection with the incident, but he has since been released on bail, police said.

Police said they could not confirm what the man had been arrested on suspicion of, until the cause of death had been established.

The investigation is ongoing, a police spokesperson said.
