The event hopes to connect participants with charities, non-profits, and community groups

Islanders who are keen to give up their time to volunteer have been invited to a "speed dating" style event to match them with potential organisations.

Volunteer.je, which helps connect people and their skills with suitable charities, non-profits, and community groups, is set to host the event on 28 May.

The organisation said the event was modelled on speed dating, with potential volunteers rotating between teams for brief introductions.

They will then be invited to learn more about the teams they meet and see if they match.

There are two sessions being hosted during the afternoon, with one at 15:30 BST and one at 17:30.

Volunteer.je said numbers were strictly limited so people should reserve their place with Eventbrite or email them directly.
