Cyclist, 65, dies in crash with two motorbikes

A cyclist has died in a crash which also involved two motorbikes at a road junction in East Yorkshire.

Police said they were called to the collision at the junction of Pefham Lane on the A166 in the village of Fridaythorpe, east of Stamford Bridge, at about 10:15 BST on Sunday.

The cyclist, a 65-year-old woman, died at the scene, the force said.

A Humberside Police spokesperson added: "Her family have been informed and is currently being supported by specialist trained officers at this extremely difficult time."

The A166, a major route to the east coast, was closed in both directions following the incident.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have dashcam footage of it has been urged to contact police.
