A section of road is closed for five days, because of work to fill an outdoor pool in Wolverhampton.

Due to an initiative at Tettenhall Pool, Stockwell Road was closed at its junction with Wergs Road and The Rock from Monday to Friday this week, City of Wolverhampton council said.

The authority said for safety reasons the pool was not in use as water treatment and testing was taking place, but once completed it would be able to announce when the facility would open.

A street diversion involved the A41 Wergs Road, Danescourt Road and Stockwell Road, the council said.
