Search launched for man in water in Norfolk Broads

A search is under way for a man who got into difficulty in the water in the Norfolk Broads.

Norfolk Police said it was called to Ferry Road, Surlingham, following reports of concern for the man's safety at about 14:33 BST.

The force said: "Emergency services are on scene including fire, ambulance, air ambulance and coastguard."

A Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said crews from Carrow and Earlham fire stations were in attendance, along with a rescue boat, adding: "There is a cordon in place at the scene and we would ask people to avoid the area where possible."
