Drivers warned of delays due to overnight closures

The A303 in Somerset will close overnight until 17 July

A major road will be closed overnight for a few days while general maintenance work is carried out.

The A303 in Somerset, will be closed overnight 20:00 - 06:00 BST between the Hayes and Southfields roundabouts until 17 July 07:00 BST.

Workers will be cutting and planting along the roads in the area.

National Highways South West said during this time the road will be closed in both directions with diversions in place.

HGVs and heavy vehicles will be diverted via the A358, A38, A361 and A372.

Lighter vehicles will be diverted to use the A358, A378 and A372.

National Highways has said there will likely be delays in the area while the work is carried out.
