The mural is due to be displayed on the protective scaffolding covering the Plémont puffin sculptures

Islanders have been invited to take part in a community project to create a giant mural celebrating seabirds and wildlife.

National Trust Jersey said the mural would be displayed on the protective scaffolding covering the pair of 4m (13ft) high puffin sculptures which have been at Plémont Bay in Jersey since 2022.

The trust is running creative workshops alongside local artist James Carter to create a "lasting piece of artwork" which will be on show while the sculptures' storm damage is repaired.

The 45-minute workshops are set to run in August and September, the trust added.
